Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه):

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "The blood of a Muslim who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah is not lawful to be shed except in three cases: a married person who commits adultery, a life for a life (legal retaliation for murder), and one who leaves his religion and separates from the community." 📖 (Sahih al-Bukhari 6878, Sahih Muslim 1676) This Hadith highlights the sacredness of a Muslim’s life and the seriousness of specific major offenses in Islam.
